Breakthrough ideas settle long felt tensions

Love the textures of this bark.

When your mind seeks answers in a discipline where the facts and ideas are metaphysical and subject to historical interpretations and anomalies, then you walk around the new thought with amazement, wondering where this idea has been and why it took you so long to hear it. Then you begin to realize this idea is no new, but ancient, and once familiar but lost to the labyrinthian meanderings of human thought, then you realize you can put faith in these ideas, that they may be, indeed, truths to be proclaimed again, recovered, revived, reformed so they can transform us again.

More to follow in days to come. Indebted to others on the same path of questioning and rediscovery.

Been reading Rohr's 'Falling Upward' and resonating with the idea that our thinking processes change in the second half of our lives.

Love Rohr and Falling Upward, but I am hoping some of the ideas I am entertaining are transformational for all gospel believers.

They might be Don. I hope so. Yet I am reminded how Rohr speaks about not having ears to hear some things until we begin to enter the second half of life. To embrace some things one needs to leave the world of dogmatic black/white thinking and enter into a life of grayer thought. Which is often accompanied by those who's hair is a bit on the gray side.
